The Long-billed Plovers extend their stay at Hanoi

It seems that the Long-billed Plovers got a visa extension.
Today (19 February), more than one month after the first contact (16th January), I was surprised to found again 5 individuals. They just move a little (look this GoogleMap), that's why Richard didn't see them few days ago. To reach this area, you will have to go through the island.

  1. Maybe I should come back to Hanoi.... The thing is, that day after I left you and crossed over to the island, I covered it fairly comprehensively. And still failed to turn them up! I'm a little late with these, since I just spent five days in Cuc Phuong, but the best birds I had on the island were
    Black Kite (3)
    Black Shouldered Kite
Black Bulbul (12+, about half white headed)
Black Faced Bunting (party of 3)
    Common Kestrel
    Harrier female sp.
    Accipiter female sp.

Also 150 Gray Herons standing on a sandbar on the far side (in the main river channel, I guess). And a lark, likely Oriental Skylark, doing a display song flight to infinity and apparently never coming back to land.
