Sunday 16 Oct: Red River Island

A few hours on Sunday morning in our favourite Red River Island was lovely. As always at this time of year, plenty of birds around (and only 1 hunter today). The birds I identified were:

• Flycatcher, Asian brown
• Flycatcher, dark sided
• Flycatcher, Grey headed canary
• Kestral, Common
• Minivet , Ashy
• Warbler, Grey crowned
• Warbler, Eastern crowned
• Warbler, Thick billed
• Warbler, Yellow browed

Quick trip to Hoa Binh

On Wednesday 23rd, I had to race out to Hoa Binh to sort out accomodation for a school field-trip, and managed to get away for a short look around. While many common birds were out in the thick mist, the highlights of my day were the following. Low light meant poor photos sorry, but I will be back there soon...
