Late post - for the record

Sorry I'm a bit late to this site, so just wanting to record a sighting for the Red River island:
21st August, 23 Oriental Pratincole, heading north. Also a flock of ca 6 blue-breasted quail (apparently seen since).
And sorry for not joining yesterday - I might go tomorrow, though

Jungle Flycatcher, Bot. Garden Hanoi

Short evening visit to the Botanical Garden, packed with people so I went to that corner, lots of mozzies and one new bird for me, a Brown-chested Jungle Flycatcher.

Seicercus Warbler - Hanoi

Hi guys,

Short stroll this morning 1st September to the Botanical Garden.

Seen 1 Forest Wagtail (in the "magical corner"), 1 Asian Paradise-Flycatcher.

And 1 Seicercus Warbler. Not calling, moving quickly through the trees, high, near the huge centenial Ficus tree at the easten part of the garden.

Grey-crowned or Bianchi's ?

If I refer to the Robson, it could be the Grey-crowned (no wing-bar). But without the voice, it seems hard to separate thoses species only by sight. Your opinion !

Hanoi Botanical Gardens

Hi all,

this morning (1st September) a short walk through the gardens produced at least 2 Arctic Warblers near the entrance area, one more Phylloscopus, 1 Shrike sp. (maybe the Tiger from 2 days ago) and the Red-billed Blue Magpie.

Prior to this, on the edge of Truch Bach lake were both lucionensis and confusus Brown Shrikes and an Asian Brown Fly.

Cheers,
